Jack CaldwellChristian Science Consultant
Growing up in Seattle, I attended Sunday School at both 10th Church in Burien and 14th Church in West Seattle.
I graduated from high school in the south end, attended Highline College, taking courses in Aviation Transportation and attended Seattle Central Community College with studies in the Marine Technology Dept.
After my college days I moved to West Seattle where I still reside today. I worked with the same company for thirty years, and after being healed through Christian Science Treatment of a spinal injury that had prevented me from working, I enthusiastically began the study of Christian Science Healing.
During the last 20 years of my employment with that company, I studied and practiced Christian Science, cherishing the idea of going into the fulltime public practice.
Within a four year period, I joined Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist, Seattle and The Mother Church and took class instruction. I was later elected as the First Reader at Sixth Church.
I became a Christian Science Journal Listed Practitioner in 2005 and remain so today. I also volunteered to read the Bible Lesson to Christian Science residents at Daystar in 2006 and enjoyed the experience so much that I'm still participating today.
Soon after beginning to serve as Reader for my church, the management at Daystar found other ways that I could be of service. My main focus now is to act as a consultant on how to coordinate activities in the Christian Science Community both at Daystar as well as in the local church community.
I really enjoy interacting with the residents of Daystar. Through our exchange of ideas we have grown together into a contributing body of prayers for the Daystar community.
